Resuming pottery

What can I do if life without clay! The winter break was little long for me but it was still an awesome break as I picked up a new hobby – brush lettering! It is fun! And I hope soon I will be able to do brush lettering along with animals drawings.

I also read a few books about ceramics! I was fascinated by Singleton’s book – the brief of many contemporary ceramicists around the world!

And my conclusion from the reading and learning brush lettering: “The more you know the more you don’t know!”

The New Year has started!

2018 was a challenging year to get through but we survived! Hubby and I don’t usually set goals in the new year but we did this year! We hope to stay physically active even when it’s so super cold outside!

Hubby loves the great outdoor, but due to my physical limitation (bad knee) I can only walk so much per day, he finds trails that are easier for me to achieved!

The nature bring the peace of mind to us, the different seasons have a lot of interesting things too! The bare trees, dried leaves, frozen creeks and more! It’s important for us to rekindle the relationship with nature in the new year.

Inspiration onto clay

These wall decorations were created a month ago while I was feeling down, I tell myself to “Be Joyful” and remind myself why I do pottery! It’s so therapeutic when I transfer some of the life inspiration onto my clay works! Life sure is a journey!

Learning how to use Instagram!

Long time no see! Summer and early fall were kinda busy on my end, downsized from a house to an apartment! But life is still good, my cats, Oreo and Mocha adapted their new home right away!

What am I up to these day? Making lot of new items and working on the social media project, hope to recover photos of what I’ve made in the past, consolidate them into Instagram!

Honestly, I think I am better at throwing pots then doing “marketing!” Anyway, here is what I find on Instagram (ig) — they made a label for me! You can scan it with you phone if you have an ig! Isn’t that cool?  Follow me and you will see lot of Oreo and Mocha’s cute photos and video. Btw, they are 20 months old already, not kittens anymore but they are still really cute! And, of course, you will all the working progress in my pottery journey! My SHOP is also reopened again, please take a look!

Busy winter

Happy Valentine’s day to ya all!! <3

It has been a good two months of making and making although I don’t do clay works full-time. I spent about 15-20 hours at the studio on a weekly basic and of course I usually use the night time practicing my drawings, it’s a commitment that I want to make sure I never stop creating.

In addition to the cat collection, I have added sloths, pandas, bunnies and raccoons! I am looking to add more friends from the sea world like whales and my long lost buddy —penguins!! Depends on how good I can draw them!

Stay tune for the spring sales! And until then you can shop at my Etsy store:
